Azure Functions are the cool thing these days, mainly because they’re just so damn useful. They can work out cheaper than other hosted code (e.g. WebJobs), but they’re also very flexible. You can define a function which runs on a timer or when an item is added to a queue (just like a WebJob), or you can define one to execute when when a HTTP endpoint is hit.
